Health : Catch up on Lost growth

Remember those days when we as little kids pulled the school bag on our shoulders and went to school? How painful those days were.

These days if we look at the kids and the immense pressure they go through at the render age is a worry. Well I am not a parent yet, but I see many friends concerned over their kid’s health as they are so much occupied with the pressure of school and other activities.

It becomes very important for the parents to keep a check on their kid’s growth as they battle to perform and excel in all the fields.

My Mom used to make sure we, both me and my sister, did well at studies, but also gave us our daily doze of nutritional drink, Horlicks while we went to school. I used to make faces while drinking down the liquid as a kid, but it certainly did some good to me for my health.

Horlicks has launched the new Growth + for kids aged between 3-9 which is a critical growth phase. Young kids specially below 10 years of age  require nutrition in order to catch up the lost growth, but parents must make sure that required nutrition is provided so that catch up growth happens.

The initial years of a child’s life are the building blocks for the future, and the first few years really matter. It is really important to care for kids and provide experiences that help to prepare a strong base for their future.

Young kids during this age need to be given necessary nutrition as they are grow at this age. Remember every child grows at his or her own pace. Routine checkups can be scheduled for the kids during ages 2 to 5 which are known as well-child visits. They are important to check for any issues and to make sure that your child is growing as expected.

3-5 years : Kids at this age are advancing from infancy towards and into the preschool years. During this period, the physical growth and development will be a bit slow, but you can expect to see some some intellectual, social, and emotional advancements in the kids

5-12 years : There is immense competition at school, the sports activities, dance or any other arts or activity they do. The kid should feel confident in her/his ability to meet the challenges in there life. They should have successful life experiences in solving any problems independently, being creative and getting the desired results for their efforts.

Parents should educate themselves with what is normal for children at this age that will help them know the problems early or about knowing how the child is doing.

Benefits : Horlicks Growth+ has been designed and tested by experts, and is proven to increase height & weight in 6 months. In fact, this balanced nutritional supplement has been developed to optimise growth without causing obesity in children.

The new Horlicks is available in two flavours to match up the kid’s taste, Vanilla and chocolate.

Are you a parent ? What are you doing to make sure your kid is getting the right growth ? How to you catch up on the lost growth ? As a kid what to you remember your parent giving you to ensure you had the perfect growth ?

  1. That’s a nice post. One little point to add up here is that as children we had excess to better milk although water might be added to it.
The milk itself now is a great concern. GMOs, Hormone injected, UHT, Evaporated what is more acceptable.
Fresh, pure, simply safe milk regularly is a expensive dream now. So adding more energy and flavour in the milk is good.
