Faces from Munsyari

Just back from Munsyari, a small town in Pittoragarh district of Uttarakhand. Also given the title of “the little Kashmir”, this small town lies between the snow capped mountains known as the Kumaon ranges of Himalayas.

Munsyari is popular between high altitude trekkers and adventure lovers. Khaliya Top (height 11500 ft) is one of the well known treks that starts from here.  This town is also the home for Milam, Namik Namik and Ralam Glaciers.

I liked the people of Munsyari who always carried smiles on their faces and seemed very welcoming to the travelers. Their warm nature makes this little town quite travel friendly. Do add this place to your list of places to see, while planning your trip to Uttarakhand.

Please ask me anything you want to know more about Munsyari. I will be sharing more posts on my Uttarakhand trip in the coming days.
