Shubharambh – I

Shubharambh Part I

Ganesha is known as the God of the beginnings (Shubharambh) & wisdom and is honoured at the start of rituals.

I wanted to visit a Pandal and see how the Ganesh Idols are being made. So I visited a near by society where the preparations is going on for the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi. The beautiful and pretty Pandals that we see is the hard work of many talented people who start toiling months before the festival is about to begin.

Below are some pictures from the Pre-Ganesh Chaturthi visit, I will also put up the pictures of the same Pandal once it is ready as Shubharambh Part II

Vakratunda Mahakaaya
Suryakoti Samaprabha
Nirvighnam Kuru Mey Deva
Sarva Kaaryeshu Sarvada

Meaning: The Lord with the curved trunk and a mighty body, who has the luster of a million suns, I pray to thee Oh Lord, to remove the obstacles from all the actions I intend to perform.
